It is said that
"there is no wealth like intelligence,no poverty like ignorance,"this
is to give a different view to the word "poverty".What we actually
think that poverty directly involve with the individual’s economical wealth and
status.This sensitive issue of society is many time raised in movies
too.
Popular Hindi movies are mean to design this sensitive issue just to take
public views and interest over this serious issue. We can say this is a big big
scar on the face of society.This fact can not be ignored that it is not only
mere the type of ignorance even it is the physical phenomena which is effecting
society all the way.

Manjhi-the mountain man”,”Salaam Bombay”,this popular movies
initiate the issues regarding social imbalance which is still continue due to
deep taken poverty roots.In the movie “Manjhi”,the character dig out a big
mountain without any governmental or
manual help .He himself indulge his entire life to make people’s life easy
which were belong to his poor village.In the year
1951 released movie “
Awara”,which was directed by Raj Kapoor was also based on
the social imbalance and was to raise the effect of this balance on individuals.
This movie got popularity and proved to be a blockbuster Hindi movie at that
time.This is not
just to raise the poverty through movie or make it public figure but this is the
truth of our fastest growing society that it is increasing with the big
difference in between classes of poor and rich .There are around one third of
population under poverty level which is a big question for our developing
society.Bombay’s
Dharavi is the most noticeable backward society in the world
which has been raised through movies many times.Can we envisage
this is mere a type of mental ignorance
which we called poverty but actually it is not true poverty is the truth of
poor society who are incapable of
bearing their daily needs too ,and for them the idea of education is too far. But it is good to here that due
to the social media and specially Hindi movies like “Slumdog millionaire ” “Salam
Bombay”,proved to be the way to
initialize the path of reducing this social imbalance.
